Thanksgiving Weekend

Connor's First Thanksgiving was really fun. We had lunch at the Country Club with Papaw, Gigi and our friends from Great Britain. Then we had a party on Friday night. Connor had his own party at Papaw and Gigi's with his favorite sitter Misty. The cute little redhead is Matt Conkins son, Jackson. He and Connor met for the first time today and admired each other's pacifiers. Thanksgiving Day

He's Walking!!

He is officially walking.He looks like a little ape. If he wants to get somewhere fast he stops and does the fast crawl. He has been walking for about two weeks. It took me that long to figure out that I could download video!!He gets into everything- even the dirty clothes hamper.

Halloween

Shrek did not cooperate to the fullest extent for the official halloween evening. I think that he had too much sugar at school and not enough sleep and he refused to wear the best part of his costume. However, he did like BOTH of his pumpkins and got to see big kids do some trick or treating.
He also had his first hair cut. I did not realize how long it was. You can't really tell from the after photos with Jessica, his stylist, but it looks great. She even used the little clippers!!

The Great Pumpkin Carve Off 2007

Kyle challenged Papaw (Bruce) and me (Tiffany) to a pumpkin carve off. He said that our "pumpkin stunk" last year and that his little boy deserved the best pumpkin ever! So....Papaw and I accepted the challenge and were so proud of our pumpkin until we saw Kyle's pumpkin and realized that he too had purchased the 14 piece pumpkin carving kit complete with stencils, saws and directions to carve the perfect pumpkin!! So no winner- just great carved pumkins for Connor's first halloween!
Hopefully Shrek will cooperate on Halloween and I can post some good photos. Below are some photos from school...Happy Halloween!!

Usually the third weekend in October is when the Vols roll over the Tide and the leaves start to change.However, the Red Sox and the Ducks were the winners this weekend. Connor has a new lucky shirt to wear for the World Series. Aunt Aimee visited this weekend and Connor had his first taste of her famous "snacky cake". Layney Potter is crawling and now returning all the eye gouging and hair pulling that Connor inflicted on her several months ago! Oh- the leaves are a flicker of dark red and yucky yellow......

The Pumpkin Patch

We are glad September is over. Kyle and Connor had walking pneumonia and pink eye. All three of us had a stomach virus and Connor had his first ear infection. We celebrated being well this weekend by going to the farm and the pumpkin patch. Connor hand picked these two pumpkins. He is cruising around furniture, finally wearing shoes, and attempting to take a few steps. It won't be long before he is full speed ahead!!

Meeting new friends....

August was a very busy month for The Sipe's. The Floyd's came to visit the weekend of the Nascar race. Connor and Scarlett stayed cool at the race track in the inflatable pool that Roger set up. Avery and Reagan came to visit in early September. Connor is cruising now and enjoys getting into the cabinets.He also enjoys getting in tight spaces.
