Oh the Florida game...

We may not have one but we had a great time at the UT-Florida game. The pre-game atmosphere was more like a homecoming for Vol fans. No one was chanting. We were just wearing orange and happy to be with friends!! I must say even the Florida fans were nice.

Knockout

Connor woke up one morning and his eye was swollen shut. Even though I am a nurse I can never think straight when it comes to his healthcare. I panicked a little then sat him down on the couch with a tall glass of milk and a warm washcloth. This was the result of a mosquito bite. I remember that darn mosquito. I saw it above his eye while we were riding in the car and I stopped to shoo it away. Since this he has had 2 more mosquito bites and he seems to have a little allergy to them. The boy loves pudding. He really likes to feed himself so that I can clean him up.

This is most of the group of nurses that I work with at McLeod. We are missing only one full timer and 3 part timers. We took this photo to give to a patient for her 85th b-day. She passed away about 10 days later with this photo at her bedside. Loved that sweet Dossie..

Water time with Miss Lisa

More photos from Labor Day weekend with the Potter's
This is Layney's "cheese" smile. We started out drinking Kool-aid splashers then ended up playing with water to clean up the mess mostly made by Connor.

A residual sticker from earlier play. That took a few days to come off just like the Potter's told us it would.

I see you daddy!!

Where did you go?

Kool Aid splasher and slide time. Connor thought the slide was better sticky. Gave it traction so that he could climb up the slide.

Layney prefers the normal way

Note to parents: Kool aid splashers must be consumed in diapers while outside. Have you ever tried one?Pure sugar. Definetly a treat- not an everyday item!

So, Lisa at one time in her life taught daycare. She is officially in charge of child entertainment when we are together (since she is in the motherly way and cannot participate in adult beverage activities).Notice the kids are naked, Kyle is wearing a Huck the Fuskies shirt, and Connor is sucking on his first Tootsie Roll pop (Miss Lisa has great candy snacks). Lisa explained to me that even back porch play time could be a lesson in Cause and Effect so I decided to video her lesson for the blog!!!

Miss Tennessee Visits

Miss Tenneessee, Ellen Carrington, came to KPT a couple of weeks ago. She is the nicest young lady and I cannot wait to watch her compete in Miss America in January!!!
Miss Kingsport Lynsey Wilder and Miss Tennessee
Not the best photo of Connor but Miss KPT is pretty!!

Look at the dork on the left. Honestly- why did I have my hand on my hip? I am still in scrubs!!! I posted this on facebook and the photo was tagged. I am sure she wonders who on earth I am and why I have my hand on my hip...Oh well

Bristol Race Photos- My how Anna has grown!!

We went to the NAACAR race a few weekends ago. Good times. That is the only way to sum it up. Connor stayed at home- he is not quite old enough to enjoy the festivities that accompany a full day of tailgating among NASCAR's finest fans. However, Shonda and Kristy felt it was time to let their girls in on the action... Above is Nicole and her momma Kristy
LJ Sold and Anna (Remember the post kissing Anna Peters?)

It's all about ketchup

So many of you know that I think ketchup is it's own food group. I will go to the nicest steak house anywhere and ask for ketchup. I do not believe in restaurants that ration the ketchup or charge you for packets of ketchup. I have been known to take my own bottle of Heinz ketchup with me if I am worried there will not be enough. I also can tell how well I am going to like someone when I look in their fridge to see (1) if they have ketchup and (2) what brand they use- Heinz is best, Hunt's is useable and their really is no need to ruin the tomatoes with any other brand. Though I must say that Food City brand is as close to Heinz as I have found in my 32 years.......Connor loves ketchup. He likes to dip his food in it and suck it off. Of course, I LOVE THIS ABOUT HIM!!!
Woops, same photo twice.. at Carrabba's and he had just rubbed the gloriuos red nectar of the heavens in his hair much to the dismay of his father...

Off to school with his first lunch box. Everyone else had one so Connor should have one too!! Thomas the Train, boppy, and cup of milk and out the door we go..

Me. Right before I officially became 32., No makeup. Straight from the playground to dinner with Kyle and Connor at Carrabba's.
I spent my birthday with my family. Connor took a 3 hour nap and I layed on the couch. Then we went to the playground for a hour of fun.

Connor sliding. Kyle was telling him to go down on his belly and instead he showed us his belly. Brilliant child!!

Hair today, gone tomorrow

So let me start out by saying-I am blessed with a full head of thick hair. Naturally curly, thick, not really sure of the natural color but for now a light cherry red. Below is a picture of my parents last year. It's not hard to figure out where I get my hair from. Over the last several months I have wanted a hair cut and my stylist, Hollie, made me think it over. So you can scroll down and see the transformation.....Me, Easter 2008. Curly, little poofy, little darker. Connor was in need of a hair cut too

Finally- Mid July. Hollie did it and told me to really straighten it. Little short in the back but the front is longer. However I wanted some WOW factor!

Present- A little Posh Spice meets Tori Spelling (my new favorite show- she and I have lots in common and that is the inspiration for the hair Ha Ha!)
Connor did not recognize me at first. It can be worn curly or straight. I think it makes me look much more stylish. That Hollie at Hairbenders is the best!! Goodbye for now POOFY hair!!

WEIGHT WATCHERS BEGINS!!

I decided to let all of my blogging family and friends know that I am back on the weight watchers train. Seems I just can't get rid of this post baby fat. I am sure that there is a time after you have a child in which you can no longer blame them for your weight. So since I had good success with WW in the spring I have decided to do it again. In November I will go to Knoxville for the Phi Mu 100 year celebration. I want to look good when I see all of my sorority sisters for the first time since college. So I plan to make myself blog my experience. I think the pictures from the beach are enough to show what I look like now. All that I want is to fit into my pre-baby clothes. So on Monday I weighed in at 184.4 (better than 195 in January). In order not to be considered overweight I need to drop to 174. So wish me luck and any good ideas are greatly appreciated. Tiffany

Trip to Charleston

Connor Russell is named after his papa Russell (I won't mention your middle name papa:))They had a good time bonding during the trip. I tend to take good pictures with such great back scenery..While on vacation we traveled to Charleston for a little historical tour and visit with Aunt Catharine.

We had dinner with Catharine and Marc. Connor and I also got to meet Max for the first time. His mom,Colleen, hired me for my first job as a RN. She is my mentor in oncology nursing and one reason that I stayed in oncology (and will never leave it). She and I have kept in touch and now have boys that will be able to grow up knowing each other!!

The boys at dinner. Connor would not sit still. He was hamming it up for Max

Well, I think this picture speaks for itself, except for the chicken neck. Kyle took this of me sneaking in a little kiss while swimming.
