Stickley Farm

We went to Stickley Farm with friends Andy, Dylan, and Layney. Connor checked out all the pumpkins before deciding on two.

He liked to see how well they would support him. That was one of his decision making processes.

Kyle and Justin with the kids on the hayride

Trying to get everyone to pose for a photo.

Working the John Deere- Just like Papaw. I didn't have the heart to tell him the wheels were broken!

Jumping for Joy!!!!!!

What would a Sipe family blog be without some Layney Potter??Lisa and I took the kids to a great 1st b-day party for Cash Taylor. They had a blow up jumper and Connor could not get enough of it. When the big kids got in he jumped higher. We talked Layney into getting in and she enjoyed some jumping time herself. Connor only landed on her once which I thought was pretty good.
I think he enjoyed falling more than jumping

I would also like to point out how much I liked his outfit :)

Layney enjoying herself

Oh the Florida game...

We may not have one but we had a great time at the UT-Florida game. The pre-game atmosphere was more like a homecoming for Vol fans. No one was chanting. We were just wearing orange and happy to be with friends!! I must say even the Florida fans were nice.

Knockout

Connor woke up one morning and his eye was swollen shut. Even though I am a nurse I can never think straight when it comes to his healthcare. I panicked a little then sat him down on the couch with a tall glass of milk and a warm washcloth. This was the result of a mosquito bite. I remember that darn mosquito. I saw it above his eye while we were riding in the car and I stopped to shoo it away. Since this he has had 2 more mosquito bites and he seems to have a little allergy to them. The boy loves pudding. He really likes to feed himself so that I can clean him up.

This is most of the group of nurses that I work with at McLeod. We are missing only one full timer and 3 part timers. We took this photo to give to a patient for her 85th b-day. She passed away about 10 days later with this photo at her bedside. Loved that sweet Dossie..

Water time with Miss Lisa

More photos from Labor Day weekend with the Potter's
This is Layney's "cheese" smile. We started out drinking Kool-aid splashers then ended up playing with water to clean up the mess mostly made by Connor.

A residual sticker from earlier play. That took a few days to come off just like the Potter's told us it would.

I see you daddy!!

Where did you go?

Kool Aid splasher and slide time. Connor thought the slide was better sticky. Gave it traction so that he could climb up the slide.

Layney prefers the normal way

Note to parents: Kool aid splashers must be consumed in diapers while outside. Have you ever tried one?Pure sugar. Definetly a treat- not an everyday item!

So, Lisa at one time in her life taught daycare. She is officially in charge of child entertainment when we are together (since she is in the motherly way and cannot participate in adult beverage activities).Notice the kids are naked, Kyle is wearing a Huck the Fuskies shirt, and Connor is sucking on his first Tootsie Roll pop (Miss Lisa has great candy snacks). Lisa explained to me that even back porch play time could be a lesson in Cause and Effect so I decided to video her lesson for the blog!!!

This oversized chair is mine and Justin's favorite. Connor realized it was like a giant trampoline and fell in love instantly

They are so in sync...lookin for sticks, mud,etc
